The Unchanging Word for a Changing Church

“But He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”” — Luke 11:28 (BSB) In Luke 10, Jesus expands His ministry by sending out seventy-two of His followers. This was a moment of transition and training, preparing them for a time when He would no longer be physically present. How do we navigate transitions in our own lives and in the life of our church? Today’s readings provide three essential anchors: the authority of God’s Word, the security of Christ’s leadership, and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
