The disciple who asks the right questions

The Disciple Who Asks the Right Questions A practical message about biblical discernment and the responsibility of every believer to examine what they hear in light of Scripture. Based on 1 John 4:1, this sermon encourages disciples not to accept every spiritual claim or teaching without examination. Instead, believers are called to test every message, keep Jesus Christ above personalities, and depend on the Holy Spirit for wisdom and discernment. The message presents the marks of a faithful biblical inquirer and challenges the Church to: Examine every teaching according to God’s Word. Distinguish truth from error with wisdom and humility. Avoid blindly following influential personalities or false prophets. Respond obediently when God reveals the truth. Remain faithful in a generation filled with spiritual confusion. Key Scripture “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.” — 1 John 4:1
