Church life doesn't stop when the Sunday service ends. To help us stay connected through the week, Bambili Baptist Church has built BBC Connect, a mobile app for every member of our church family. It brings together the things we use most: Scripture, teaching, worship, prayer and fellowship.

Here is a short tour of the main features.

Home: your day at a glance

The home screen is where each day starts. A large card shows today's reading from the church Bible reading plan. Tap Start to begin. Below it, Your week shows the days you've read and your current streak, so it's easy to keep going.

The Explore grid takes you to every part of the app: Devotional, Sermons, Prayer, Hymnal, Courses, Bible, Plan and Activities.

The church Bible reading plan

We read through the Bible together as a church, one passage a day for the whole year. The reading plan screen shows how far the church has got and how far you have got: days read, days missed, your streak and the days left. The calendar view (month, 3 months, 6 months or year) shows your progress at a glance.

Daily devotional

Each day has a short devotional from our pastors and the devotional team. Every entry has a key verse, a reflection and the author's name. Entries you've read are marked Completed, and the calendar button lets you go back to any date. Devotionals can be downloaded so you can read them offline.

The Bible

A full Bible reader is built in. Pick a book and chapter, switch translations, and change the text size with the Aa button. You can highlight verses that speak to you, and the bar at the bottom moves you to the next or previous chapter.

Sermons

Missed a Sunday, or want to hear a message again? The Sermons section has our recent preaching. The latest message is at the top. Below it you can browse what was recently added or look through sermon series, and search for a message by title or speaker. You can download sermons to listen offline, on the way to work or on the farm.

Hymnal

Our whole hymn book is in your pocket and works offline. Type a hymn number on the Hymn board to go straight to it during service, or search by title or a line of the words. Tap the heart to save the hymns you love.

Open any hymn by number, search the words, and save favourites

Prayer Wall

The Prayer Wall is where we carry one another in prayer. Share a request with the church, tap Pray when you've prayed for someone, and see how many others are praying too. When God answers, the request can be marked Answered so we can all give thanks together.

Activities

Activities lists everything coming up at church, day by day: meetings, Bible study, conferences and special events. Each one shows the time and the place. Open an activity for the full details, and look back at past activities too.
